Be the difference in your community - Use our resources for communities and schools to engage youth in traffic safety education and discussion.

School Lessons for Teachers

Motor vehicle collisions are the leading cause of death and injury among Alberta's youth. One of every five new drivers is involved in a collision within their first two years of driving.

However, several behaviours can be encouraged to keep our youth safe on the roads. Training modules have been created for use in schools or in the community with youth ages 12 - 18. Each module includes a PowerPoint presentation with fun activities, a detailed module outline for the session leader, and a list of required materials. For schools, a lesson plan (including curriculum links) and additional activities have been included.

Our wish is for these resources to be used in communities and schools all across Alberta to help keep our youth safe on our roads and throughout all aspects of their lives. Teachers, schools, and youth groups, such as 4-H, Junior Forest Wardens, Boys & Girls Clubs, etc. can all benefit from these training modules.

Use them individually, or use all five modules to host a youth traffic safety conference.

For ideas on how to use the modules, visit the Stories page.

Coming Soon: New Modules
